About the Photographer
William R. Benson has been photographing weddings, portraits and doing commercial photography since 1979. He has attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, had vocational training in graphic arts, and has worked for 4 studios before opening Photography by Bill Benson in 1992. An artist with a true passion for his craft, Bill has studied extensively to educate himself with the technical aspects of photography, and continues to attend seminars to keep in tune with all of the updated techniques and styles. Bill works as a wedding and studio photographer at a very prestigious portrait studio in Pittsburgh photographing literally hundreds of subjects annually. Bill is also very meticulous about the quality of his work, so he does all of his custom printing as well. (Not to mention that he thinks it's fun!) Constantly keeping on the cutting edge of his field, he looks forward to what the future in photography holds both technically and artistically.
